More colors!

Dear friends,

I' am trying to find out the way to set more colors in my AlphaStation
500 system (running DU 3.2C).

Now I can choose any color, but having only 256 at the same time. Can I
have as many colors as I want (more than 256 at the same time)?
True color?, Direct color?

Which are the files I must check?
