I am having a problems configuring new devices on my AS4100.
I have a HSZ40 controller currently controlling 4 Raidsets and 1
mirrorset.
I would like to add another mirrorset and in addition; 2 single drive
units (they will be bare drives, not raided, striped, or mirrored).
I have been told that my controller can only access 7 logical units,
and that the controller itself counts as an additional unit; for a
total of 8 units.
By the way, the new drives are configured in the controller using the
CFMENU utility. CFMENU sees the drives and reports them as mirrored
or as single disk units.
The drives don't show up when I do "show device" at the boot prompt,
likewise DU doesn't see the devices when it boots.
I have been told that I can have either one of the single drives or
the mirrorset but that's it for a total of seven devices. I am then
max'ed out on the logical units that can be controlled by the HSC. Is
this true?
