DIGITAL Unix engineering is looking for system administrators, whether
novice or expert, to participate in usability studies of the system
management tools to be released in V5.0 of DIGITAL Unix.
Here's the scenario... a Digital human factors engineer (me) comes to
YOUR site with a workstation and the latest bits. Then you (and anyone
else interested) perform a series of typical system management tasks. Tasks
like installing DU V5.0, doing an update installation, configuring the
hardware, monitoring and tuning the system, viewing event logs, etc.). I
just observe (and scribble notes madly) as you progress through the tasks.
Usually, a few hours is all that is required.
This is a great opportunity to get a glimpse of what is being
developed back at Digital, and to give your feedback *before* DU V5.0
is released.
Please reply with the number of people at your site who would be able
to participate in these tests. Remember, this is not a test... novice
or expert alike are welcome to participate.
Thanks!
Paul Henderson
