ISC DHCP server

I have installed the Internet Software Consortium DHCP server (Beta 5,
patchlevel 16) on a DU 3.2G machine.

Most clients work OK, however, Windows95B clients cannot get a valid IP
address, although according to the dhcpd.leases file one is being
allocated.

According to the README file Windows95 machines are fussy, and the DHCP
server must be able to send to an IP address of 255.255.255.255. A
workaround was posted for Linux and SCO, but not for Digital Unix. (The
workaround was "route add -host 255.255.255.255", which fails under DU).

Is anyone running this DHCP server, and did they make any mods to get it
to work with Microsoft clients? Any input appreciated.

I cannot upgrade the machine to DU 4, so cannot run Digital's DHCP server.

Regards,
         Garry.
