i don't have the original message, but it was probably something like:
help! fortran was working fine several months ago but now nothing happens.
with a little poking around i discovered that the executable "fort90"
in /usr/ccs/lib/cmplrs/fort90_400 had a filesize of exactly 0. am restoring
from backup. now i'm off to throttle the programmer who did this.
