installing a non-rz disk

I am attempting to install a non-rz disk on a dec 3000 running osf1 v3.2.
The name of the disk is IMPRIMIS. I do a show dev at the >>> prompt, and
it returns 94601-15 as the device name of the disk. The device name is also
the product id. The device type is direct access.

Is there any way possible to MAKEDEV on this particular disk, and add it to
my system.
