DEC 3000, is it possible to direct terminal to serial port

Folks,

I have one of the above Dinosaurs, It's a DEC3000 m500.

My monitor has died and I was wondering if it was possible to use something
like hyperterminal
as the console. I have no hardware manual and would be most grateful for
your advices.
