Hi Managers.
Thank you for the definite answers.
There is no support for widescsi adressing in DUNIX before the next
major release of DUNIX in summer 98.

In the current release, DIGITAL UNIX provides support for SCSI device
IDs in the range 0-7. Some people play tricks with the SCSI controller
ID and set it to a value larger than 7, and use a total of 8 device IDs
(0-7). There are plans to support a wider range of SCSI IDs in a future
release, but it will not be out sooner than next summer.

Sorry..

Tom

unfortunately Digital-UNIX does not yet support
extended SCSI addressing . We'll be supporting
extended SCIS addressing in the next major
release of Digital-UNIX (also known as Steel orV5.0) .
