Dear Managers,
My original problem was:
>I've just installed DU 4.0b with CDE, C2 security.
>When I try to connect from any PC to this machine the following
>message appears:
>"Cannot obtain database information on this terminal"
>
>I edited /etc/auth/system/ttys, /etc/auth/system/devassign and
>/etc/securettys files as described in earlier article (this method
>works on DU 3.2) but I cannot login.

>I tried to connect with running xdm but it was unsuccessful too.

DU 4.0 works with a database created from these files.
After the upgrade to 4.0b, you must no long edit these files, but
directly the database with edauth(8) or dxdevices(8) (GUI).
Note that it is the same with user database.

With C2 security the ttys file is probably ttys.db. You can edit
the ttys file and do "/usr/tcb/bin/convauth -d t" to change it to
ttys.db.
You may want to look at the /etc/auth/system/devassign file too.
----------
I converted both devassign and ttys files with "/usr/tcb/bin/convauth"
and it works fine!
Rebooting or restarting anything is *not neccessary*.
Thanks again,
