DU 4.0B and root's /bin/passwd behavior (C2)

Odd. I have a DU 4.0B machine on which _my_ root account running
/bin/passwd (with C2 security enabled) does *not* get prompted for the
user's original password (as one would expect), but other root accounts on
the same machine _are_ prompted. The only _obvious_ difference between
*my* UID 0 account and the others is that I use /bin/ksh (whereas they're
using tcsh) when they come in (can't log in as root directly, of course,
but have to su).

Any ideas?

Thanks.
