SUMMARY: CAP on Digital Unix 3.2g, de500 100Mb/s E-net card

Several people suggested that I check to make sure that I'm using the
correct interface, and I am. That's not the problem.

I got AARPD to work by reinserting the PACKETFILTER option into the
kernel config file... it seems that the upgrade removed that option. But
UAR still will not work. I get a new error message when I try to run UAR:

address filter table is full, sorry
       ...
    SIOCADDMULTI: I/O ERROR
       ...

The man page for packetfilter says that only 10Mb Ethernet and FDDI are
supported. Is this true or is this an old man page? Does anyone have UAR
working in this configuration?

We've just upgraded our AlphaServer 2100 to Digital Unix 3.2g and
configured it to use a de500 ethernet card so that we can now be
connected at 100Mb/s. This broke our CAP configuration which was
running the UAR router. The version of CAP that we are running is
6.0 patch level 196. When I try to start the UAR daemon I get
the message:

   tu1: No such device
     UAR: failed to open tu1

Our network connection is working... everthing else works. I did
a "MAKEDEV pfilt" which did not resolve the problem. I also tried
to use CAP with the AARPD daemon but I get the same error message.
What am I missing?
