Hello, This is my first posting for help, so please go easy on me.
I have an AS4100 with DU4.0B and JUMBO patchkit 5 that I have
just brought up, and I am having problems getting to the system
from my desktop.
I can use the basic Win95 telnet session to log onto the system.
However, when I use the Exceed software (from Hummingbird
Comm.) I get the following errors :
Xlib: connection to "dbagjg:0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
Error: Can't open display: dbagjg:0.0
The command I am using is :
/usr/bin/X11/dxterm -d dbagjg:0.0
I have four other Alpha systems DU3.2C, 3.2F & 4.0, on which
this command is working fine.
I have verified that my host & workstation are in /etc/hosts, my
DISPLAY is set, etc. I have also been through the "X ***"
manpages (trying everything that seems to be related to the error
messages) and researched the archives for this maillist. No
sledge hammers hitting me yet !!!
Can someone please help me make this work ? The Win95
telnet session doesn't make the remaining application
