Dear Managers,

we have some HP-DAT-Drives and newer CONNER/SEAGATE-DAT-Drives.

I want to change the setting of the Drive to Compression or NOT Compression by
Software.

I know there is a DIP-Switch inside which sets the Drive to Compression or
NO-Compression. But is there any possibility to do it by Software. For example:
tar -cvf /dev/?rmt3h .

Thanks for any replies, i will summarize,
