all know us , that when you use option -R in vi, the file open in mode read
only, and when used :w , the command is reject, but when use :w!, the file
is write. how i can disabled this option ?.

Several recommendations received, most viable is to delete /etc/ptmp.
Unable to locate this file/directory. I think we're on the right track,
anyone has anything further. I also received requests to circulate the
