Firmware Downgrade??

Hello fellow managers:

Just a quick question regarding firmware.
We are looking into an upgrade of our AS1000 (currently 3.2C) to 4.0b.
One of the major concerns we have is whether or not our system can return to
its current state if necessary (ie: application compatiability problems).

Question:
If we have to downgrade, will the required firmware upgrades (to 4.0b rev)
cause problems? Or, will the system be able to run with this? If it will
cause problems, is it possible to DOWNGRADE the firmware (have heard in the
past that this is not possible).

Will summarize

TIA
