vi ignores me

Hi all,

We have got a 2100 and we have just upgraded the operating system. Now,
it is running DU 4.0a. Some weeks ago we had upgraded the O.S. for
another machine (a DEC 3000) and everything is all right with it.

Everything seems to work correctly but I am unable to use the VI. It
doen't matter whether I execute 'vi' or 'vi file_number'. The prompt
appears again and nothing happens.

The funny thing is that I seem to be de only user with this kind of problem.

I have tried copying .profile, .login, .kshrc (my shell is ksh but I have
tried with other shells) from the DEC3000, copying them from other users
in this machine...

If I use 'su' to become a different user (even keeping my enviroment) the
'vi' works.

what should I look into? Thanks in advance.
