Summary: DU 4.0B crash

        I orginally posted info from a crash dump that occured shortly
after my DU 4.0B install. Since I hadn't had a crash in awhile, I thought
it might be the new OS. I received *lots* of responses, thanks. However:
"Dr. Tom Blinn, 603-881-0646" <tpb_at_zk3.dec.com> noted that the machine
check code of 223 indicated a fan failure. I called DEC field service who
replaced the fans, which were still running, but I haven't had the problem
since.
