Greetings,
Every now and again (once a week? maybe less) when I first come in my adfsd
process is taking up 90+% of the machine's CPU. It is on an AS 1000 4/200
running DU 4.0B. I have a single file domain which is 10GB (2 RZ26's, 1 RZ28,
3 RZ28M's).
Rebooting the machine (of course) makes the problem go away for another week
or so. I can't find any errors in any logs anywhere, and nothing on the
console either.
My advfs is brand-new, after my 40.B upgrade (I had been using LSM).
Has anyone else experienced this?
Also, the tape backup (to a TZ87) for this filesystem takes a total of about
14.5 hours to complete! It takes almost 5 hours to get to 0.1% complete, and
then another 9.5 hours to 100%.
I'm about ready to revert to LSM! :(
Thanks for any advice,
-Tim
p.s. With LSM I had a 6GB filesystem which backed up perfectly using all
the current hardware, but running on DU 3.2D.
