We have a TLZ06 which has been behaving oddly. It seems to have two modes
of operation: in the first, it doesn't respond at all. "mt status" just
blocks, even though the drive is empty and idle. In the other, everything
will seem fine, but trying to read gives an unhelpful I/O error at offset
0, and writing, while it apparently works, seems to send the drive offline
when it's done. It won't let itself be brought online. We tried swapping
in another TLZ06, but it give the exact same behavior. This is under 4.0a,
but it did it under 3.2c as well. Oh -- the event which brought about the
second mode described above was a rebuild of /etc/ddr.db. This may be
coincidental. The DDR system is not my friend.
