dump from linux to DU 4.0

I'm trying to do a dump from linux (Red Hat Linux release 3.0.3
Kernel 1.2.13 on a i486 to DU 4.0.. I can "rsh machinename who" between
the two machines just fine as root but when I try to dump, I get this:

Any ideas?
