There were several answers. Of these the best two (IMHO) were to go to
http://www.unix.digital.com/products/internet/java.html
or
http://www.osf.org/mall/web/JDK/
The former points you at a DEC-produced JDK 1.02 which requires 4.0 or
better.
The latter requires that you register with OSF and you have 3.2 or
better. I have 3.2 and the osf.org JDK it seems to work just fine!
