Power fail and X-tubes

This time I checked the Archives :-) But found nothing :-(

I have an X-tube connected to an Alpha running DU 4.0a. Today (and on
plenty of other occasions) we had a power flicker which reset my
x-tube.

What I find after rebooting the tube is that all of my processes
are still running. If I try to log into a CDE session it will hang up
as I exceed maxuprocs (64 on this system). Before I can use the terminal
I have to open a telnet session and kill off the processes manually.

Is there a way to fix this so that when my terminal drops off the
connected processes are terminated?

Thanks.
