Interactive vs. Batch accounting

Hello managers,
We currently charge for processing accounting time only. Also, we do
not distinguish between primary and non primary CPU time. I have a user that
runs long batch simulations all night long, and thus he is charged a lot of
money.

Question: Is there a way to distinguish between interative process accounting
and batch process accounting (or programs running in the background)?

We use a script to process the "pacct" accounting file and then use the acctprc1
and acctprc2 commands to format the output. Our OS is DU 3.2C. Thank you in
advance.
