Ghostview on 24 bitplane cards...

Hi,

  I'm trying to run ghostview 1.5 (from prep.ai.mit.edu) on a 500au
PS workstation (DUnix 4.0C, Open3D 4.5, 3D, trucolor graphics card).
It sort of works, i.e. it does display, keyboard commands work, but
the application does not respond to the mouse. The exact same program
works fine on 8 bitplane cards.
  Does anyone have an explanation, workaround, fix, etc.?
