Earlier I asked how to shedule an automatic nightly reboot on my
Alphaserver 300 4/266 which runs Digital Unix 4.0B. I received a multitude
of help with the answer summed up as:

man cron
man crontab

-and-

Why would you want to reboot periodically since doing so can harm the system?

In that light, it's likely not necessary to reboot nightly, however, it's
nice to know how to do it on the days after heavy CDE use which tends to
slow down the relatively small server significantly even after all windows
on the GUI are closed. Rebooting tended to speed up the performance when
the server was clogged with post heavy GUI action.

Thanks to the 38+ individuals who helped me.

Tully
