SUMMARY FORTRAN QUESTION

Answer:

Install the run time libraries from the associated product CDs that
come with the OS. To my credit, I didn't install the OS and just
assumed they were installed. And also thought that they would have been
installed sometime during the FORTRAN installation (if they weren't
already) from the software product library CDs.
