My original question:
>This may seem like a strange question, but how do I find out what version
>of DU I have running?
Thanks to the following people for their prompt replies:
Bill Bennett <BENNETT_at_MPGARS.DESY.DE>
Parris B. Wood <pwood_at_widomaker.com>
Richard Eisenman <richarde_at_tricity.wsu.edu>
Kym Schwarz <schwarz_at_stl.dec.com>
Ronald D. Bowman <rdbowma_at_tsi.clemson.edu>
The general response was to use uname -a to get one of the following
revision numbers (letter versions are not displayed):
464 = 4.0A
564 = 4.0B
664 = 4.0C
878 = 4.0D
Other suggestions included checking:
/etc/motd
/var/adm/messages
Or running:
/usr/sbin/uerf -c oper -t s:<date-of-last-boot>
I was happy to discover that I'm running 4.0B.
Thanks!
ian
