Hi, All!
We recently purchased a low-end AlphaStation (200 4/233, new from old
stock) and a copy of Digital UNIX 4.0d. However, we made the cardinal
sin of using a non-DEC system disk (a 2.1GB Barracuda) in the system
and I can't get DU to load.
Everytime I boot the GUI I get the message:
Can't read the existing label on device ST
in a dialog box. After I click OK I'm put back at the shell prompt.
If I do a "restart nogui" I am told there are no disks on the system...
Needless to say there are and I have labeled and made file systems on
it successfully from the shell...
Does anyone know a way around this?
