Firmware upgrade => Graphics Card sync problem

G'day all,

I upgraded the firmware on a Alphastation 200 4/233 to V6.6 (that is, a
firmware update CD V5.0) and now the text on the screen continually rolls
and is stretched across the screen - it appears unable to sync properly. This
happens both at the console prompt, and under X.

This has rendered it useless as a workstation. I've tried changing the
graphics card's pixel frequency and refresh rate using the dip switches on
the back of the card (a ZLXp-E1/E2/E3, not sure which), but this doesn't
fix it.

I also downloaded the latest firmware update (V6.8) from Digital, and installed
that, but the problem hasn't gone away.

Anyone know what the problem could be caused by? Or how I can fix it?

Cheers,

Paul.
