Origianl post:
Our production Oracle has suddenly stopped working. When I start it up it
gives the following error lines:

Oracle7 Server Release 7.3.2.3.0 with the 64-bit option - Production

PL/SQL Release 2.3.2.3.0 - Production
SVRMGR> Connected to an idle instance.
SVRMGR> ORA-07307: sms1sg: shmat error, unable to attach sga.
DEC OSF/1 (AXP) Error: 12: Not enough space
Additional information: 1
SVRMGR>
Server Manager complete.
Database "MAIN" warm started.
RESULT:
I've had a couple of responces in a matter of a few minutes. The first one
was the one that DID it. Here it is:
