Printing in our DMZ

     Greetings All,

I've got a DUNIX V4.0a/Netscape Web Server, two DUNIX V4.0a/AltaVista
Firewall 96 Firewall Systems. The Web Server is currently outside of
the External Firewall. In our DMZ between the two firewalls I have a
DUNIX V4.0d TruCluster V1.5 system, and several Intel/Alpha WNT V4.0
systems. (In another month the firewalls will be DUNIX V4.0b and AVFW
97 and soon after that the Web Server will be DUNIX V4.0d with the
     latest Netscape Enterprise Server.)

I also have an HP1600C printer in the DMZ and I'm trying to print to
it from all of these systems. I'm running into a problem on the
Firewalls however. The firewall installation disables the system lpd
for security reasons. When lpd starts, it opens a socket on port 515
and listens for connections, potentially from anywhere on the network,
which is why the firewall disables it.

What could I do to both maintain security AND be able to print from my
firewall systems? Any and all suggestions and comments would be most
     appreciated. Thanks everyone!
