Pathworks OR Samba ?

Hallo !
I use Pathworks server on DU with TCP/IP, clients are DOS Pathworks,
Windows95 Pathworks.
Is it better (and cheaper) solution to use Samba and MS client for DOS,
Windows95 ?

What about stability and reliability ?
(I need only a directory sharing)
