I just sent this mail message.

==>
==> Morning -
==>
==> I have an non-banners version of tcpwrappers running on my Alpha
==> machines, but I now must have banners working for security reasons.
==> As when I first worked with tcpwrappers, I receive errors but I
==> did not note what I did to get it working. First, is there a
==> site that has a DU3.2x and DU4.0x version of tcpwrappers? Or is
==> it possibly on the freeware CD? I will check the CD as soon As
==> I send this.

I am a profuse note-taker as I do my work so that I can remember what I
did or if I am hit by a truck the replacement can know what I did. I was
re-reading a short two sentence blurb and noticed that I had two compile
efforts from two different machines. One machine was running 3.2 and the
other was running 3.2B at that time. I then remembered that I had tried
different alphas that were running different verions of the OS and so I
started to skip from one machine to the next. The ones that worked for
the 3.2 OS was the machines that came straight from DEC with 3.2C. Even
the machines that I had upgraded from 3.2, 3.2A or 3.2B to 3.2C did not
work. They had the same errors. I have so noted this in my tcpwrappers
notebook. I also have noted in my mind that maybe upgrades are not the
way to go but to do full installs to make sure things are so they will
work. Hmmmm...... 4.0 had no problems compiling.

Too much deep thinking too early in the monring. I fell the need for a
nap coming.

Thank you for any responses to my earlier questions.
