First! Thanks! to Bob Otterson & Blake Roberts who responsed to my
question below. The problem with it was because I put it in a slot
with the disk controller that only supported narrow disks. So, then
when I swapped to a slot that supported wide disk and it works just fine.

Hello all,
I need some help...
I just added a new RZ29 disk drive to a SWXCR available
slot on my AlphaSever 1000a 4/266, 320 mb of rem, DEC UNIX
V4.0A. When I booted it from "genvmunix" kernel I can see a
new device, I then rebild a new kernel and then, reboot the system
from a new kernel I just built and the system keep crashing just right
before I log in... I can't find what could be wrong with it...
Can someone please help...?
