OK, managers, I'm not an IP networking wizard. I'm more the GURU type --
Good Understanding, Relatively Useless...
My challenge is that the network owners have decided that we have to change
our domain name since there has been a corporate merger. Essentially we
currently have a class B domain of "foo.com". They want to change this name
to be "stl.mo.bar.com" [since Bar Corp. has sites everywhere the philosophy
is to include the locale in the local domain -- hence stl.mo = St. Louis, MO].
Can anyone give me guidance on where/how I should go about changing this name?
I don't think the actual numeric value is going to change, just the domain
name.
Any pitfalls I need to watch out for?
All suggestions GRATEFULLY appreciated!
TIA!
