Menu Scripts on Unix

     Greetings,

I'm running DUNIX V4.0d with the jumbo patch.

On all of our OpenVMS systems the operators do their jobs via menus.
These menus format the screen with time/date/node/etc. and then
present the various options. Each option might present another screen
of sub-options or it might ask some simple questions then go off and
do the job and report back to the operator. The basic menu shell
(written in VMS DCL) was freeware - we've extensively modified and
added to it over the years.

Does some sort of freeware menuing system like this exist for UNIX -
or even a commercial package? I'd like to present to my operators a
menu environment similar to what they are already familiar - ala
OpenVMS - select an option and answer some questions and then do the
job. The operators rarely get down to the DCL level in OpenVMS and
I'd like to keep them from the shell command level on UNIX too.

     Thanks,
