vdump to a remote DAT tape drive

Hello,

I'm running DU 4.0c with Advance File System and would like to do
backups to a remote DAT drive. In my limited search I couldn't find
anything like a "rdump" for the advance file system and wonder if anyone
has a work-a-round for using "vdump" to a remote DAT drive.
