Regards managers,

A few days ago I had a not so pleasant experience: I tried to install SWCC
(StorageWorks Command Console) v2.0 agent on one of the two ASE DEC Unix
4.0b cluster hosts on our site. When the installation reached the 'scan'
phase, the system went down. I suspect that the 'scanbus'command in the SWCC
package scanned the ASE adapters and thereby caused the crash. Does this
sound reasonable ? Have anyone else had a similiar experience ?
I vaguely seem to recall that a 'scu scan' on ASE adapters is not a good
thing. Is SWCC doing something similar ?
I could not find any particular warnings in the docs.
