x application on x-win32

Hi Gurus,

One of our users can run a simulator on the console but when
trying to run it from an x-terminal (x-win32) he gets the message:

11302:xoopic: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: cannot map libXpm.so

The file libXpm.so is located in a directory one level below from
where he starts the simulator. He has copied it to one level above
in order to turn it easier to be found but with no avail. Can anybody
give any hints on this x-problem?
