Req. help in preparing for sys disk replacement

Digital support recommends changing system disk ASAP due to
multiple hard errors logged to the errlog file. I'm sure I
won't enjoy reloading the system, but the pain of going through
the customization steps will be much worse. I have kept
duplicate copies of some of the customized files (/etc/fstab,
cron files, /sys/conf files, etc), but I'm sure I missed quite
a few of them. Does anybody have a list of, or a script to
save, a significant number of these files?

Maybe somebody has other suggestions to simplify the task of
replacing the system disk?

Thanks many in advance,
Enrique
