Sorry to be late posting this summary:

I had asked if there was a driver for DUnix V4.0d for thhe Matrox
Millenium graphics card, and if so how does one add the driver.

 "Dr. Tom Blinn <tpb_at_doctor.zk3.dec.com>

Was kind enough to anwer right away. The answer is there is no driver
available. I include his response in it's entirety since I found it
informative. As Tom points out in his response, the card IS usable by the
system as generic VGA.

Thanks and regards,

Sam

Here is Tom's response:

"If there WERE a driver for the card, there would be two parts, the part
that lives in the kernel, and the part that makes the device work with X
Windows.

The two parts would be packaged in a software kit that is installed using
the setld utility, like any other software, and there would be various
bits and pieces of software that are used to configure it "automatically".

I'll be truly amazed if you find a complete driver for the card. I
believe it was once considered for support in DIGITAL UNIX, but I don't
think that it was ever actually made to work. It *might* work as "generic
VGA"; if it is the card I think it is, then it's one I've used to confirm
"generic VGA" works correctly, since it's totally unsupported.

Tom"
