Have you any experience netscape news and proxy servers under DIGITAL UNIX
4.0d? There are runing on, or not?
I saw the netscape home page, but I haven't found the correct answer.
Curently we use these softwares on 4.0b and working fine. The system
upgrade (4.0b --> 4.0d) is inevitable.
Please help me!

It will work. I' m using Netscape HTTP 3.51 on Du 4.0d it's fine, but must
me customized the sysconfigtab according to digital hints
(
http://www.digital.com/info/internet/document/ias/tuning.html).
The old 2.x news server olso working on DU4.0d, but don't use AdvFS as
news spool.

We're running Netscape Proxy Server V3.5.1 on DUNIX V4.0b with
AltaVista Firewall 97. Everything there works a-ok. It is my
understanding that DUNIX V4.0d and Proxy Server V3.5.1 are
certified. We too will be getting totally to DUNIX V4.0d soon
as it is Y2K certified. About half of my systems are already
there.
