Hello guru's out there,

   * I have a DEC3000/400 with DU4.0B installed on it, as well as the
     "enhanced security" option.
   * When I want to unlock on of my accounts with the
dxaccounts-Application, I receive the following message:
"The password and group file are currently locked by another
          user. Please try again later"
   * When I try to make the changes with the "vipw-command", I receive
     this message:
          "password file busy"
   * I already made a quick search through the mailing list archives,
where I've found slightly similar problems and answers but they
don't seem to help me out:
          -I don't have a "/etc/.AM_is_running" file
          -I don't have "yp" installed
          -I've already installed a patch (OSF410DX-400010, e.g patch
          240.00)
   * But when I rebooted my system, I've noticed the following message
     on the console:
          Mounting Memory Filesystem
rw-r--r-- root system "a date in July" /etc/passwd
I don't know if this info is relevant to my problem, but I (dummy)
don't know wat this message is meaning.

I hope I gave enough information to you experts and I hope that someone
could help me out.

Thanks in advance to you all,

Chris
