Hi, i am trying to get NIS Server/Client running on the same machine,
but when a go to /var/yp and type make, make returns an error mesg (it
cannot find /etc/publickey needed by publickey.byname) what is this
about? Where can i get it ?

How to Know if my NIS server is a traditional one?

Looking in man rpc.yppasswdd, i saw that this daemon allow shadow. It
looks in /etc/passwd if it finds a "x" in password part of the entry i
looks it in /etc/shadow..... This man page tells i need to put shadow in
my ALL: line , on /var/yp/Makefile, that's ok!!!

BUT

when i logs into the system and i type "yppasswd" i cannot change my
password. It returns me that my old password is wrong. What is going on
?
(os course, ypserv, ypbind and rpc.yppasswdd is running on the same
machine)

Thanks in advance.
