Hello,
Ellen Davis posted a question and corresponding summary concerning:
>>After installing patch kit #2 of DU4.0D, I get the message:

>>when mounting the disks. I am using ADVFS and quotas. It seems to

Ellen's Summary is as follows:
>>At the suggestion of Dr. Blinn, I called Compaq support services.
>>The service rep said to use rw instead of rq. However, he could not
>>explain why rq was still in the fstab man page. This concurs with
>>Brian and Bruce, who also suggested to use rw instead of rq.
I just installed Path Kit #8 on a DU 4.0B and encountered the same thing
WARNING unknown option rq - ignored
I am posting this as DU 4.0B is also affected by this when Path Kit #8
is installed.
I called Compaq Services on this issue, and was told this is a bug and
it will be fixed. DU Engineering is aware of it.
The workaround is to change rq to rw in the /etc/fstab file.
