labeling a raid array

Hi All,

    I have a fun problem. I have a new RAID array and I'm not sure what disk
type to call it when I put a new label on it. I have tried to read the label
on it and of course I get an error. Is there a default disk type to use? Do
I have to ask the people who made it?
