Hi,

continuing my RIS saga......

Many thanks to Tom Blinn for his suggestion of starting from
scratch. I reinstalled RIS and setup 4.0D again. I can now do a
RIS install of 4.0D onto a 433au workstation.

However I have now hit another problem that I hope somebody can
help me with. Once the install has rebuild its kernel and it reboots
it goes to start the dtlogin screen and all that happens is the
screen flashes form blank to the blue colour in a never ending loop.
Obviously there is some problem with the Xserver/graphic card. I
know the card works because the RIS install puts up a install
configeration Xwindow setup screen during the install. my
browse of old mails to this list suggests that I do not need to install
OPEN3D for the ZLXp2-E card to function correctly (I tried OPEN3D4.7
anyhow and it didn't help) so.... anyone hit this ?

Cheers

Pete
