The question:

What's the best way to do an orderly shutdown of an HSZ70 (dual-redundant)
controller?

Thanks to everyone who responded - I had over 10 answers within 20 minutes
of posting the question!

The consensus is that I was on track with the following commands which are
entered from the HSZ console:

HSZ70> SHUTDOWN OTHER
HSZ70> SHUTDOWN THIS

These commands *should* insure that all data is flushed from the cache.

After this the batteries can be shutdown by pressing the "Shut Off" button
(a small black button on the battery) and holding it in until the green
light goes off. At this point the power to the cabinet can be turned off.

Note that there is no "Shut On" button to turn the batteries back on. I
just powered up the cabinet again and fired up the controllers and
everything was fine. Doing a "SHOW OTHER" and "SHOW THIS" showed that my
cache and battery were "Good", and I breathed a sigh of relief!
