Hello There,
I am trying to hunt down any documentation on tuning Digital UNIX for
Oracle. There has been question posted before on specific problems and
the solution has talk about tuning advfs.
I have read the Digital UNIX tuning guide which offers a good start but
they are general. What I would like to know is how should I be tuning
the HSZ50/70 for the filesystems, be it UFS or AdvFS. What is the better
filesystem type UFS, AdvFS or raw? If I am using a performance analyzer
how do I know if my raid disks are being hammered too hard? The kernel
tuning parameter are big area as well. I know some of the questions are
VERY general, but hopefully if I lots of information I can distill it
for my needs.
Does anyone out there know of a good source of information on tuning the
operating system related directly to Oracle ?
Thanks
Viktor Holmberg
