Hi OSF managers,

We have an Alpha Personal Workstation 600au which (according to the
documentation) has a Qlogic 1040UW UltraWide SCSI adapter
installed.

There is no provision for external SCSI cabling on this model
workstation.

I would like to install an Exabyte 8505 tape drive and a
Seagate 15150N disk drive into the cabinet. Both of these
devices are narrow scsi.

The user information booklet provided says that narrow devices
can be added by using a 68-to-50 pin adapter on the existing
internal bus.

If there are any soothsayers out there that can forsee eminent
disaster with my attempt to configure to the above specifictions,
I would appreciate hearing from them before I proceed. :)

With thanks for any forthcoming advice,

Brian
